Music At The Center

Music At The Center is a program offered by The Diamond Valley Arts Center as a way to expose the community to varied Music Artists and Genres. The DVAC brings unique and varied Music Artists from Grammy Award winning Musicians to local talent to grace the Stage set in a hundred year old historic building in Hemet.
The intimate setting allows listeners the opportunity to truely experience music in an atmosphere dedicated to the listener.

Steve2Steven Ragsdale Quartet | MUSIC AT THE CENTER

The Steve Ragsdale Quartet will perform Saturday, March 17, 2017, at the Diamond Valley Arts Council’s Diamond Valley Arts Center, located at 123 N. Harvard St., Hemet Ca 92543 for the Wine Art and Jazz Night. Doors open at 6:30pm with the show starting at 7:00pm. Admission is $10 for Members and $15 for General Admission. Student tickets are $5 for Online Pre-Sale and $10 at the door. Tickets are available online at www.thedvac.org or by stopping by the art center. Doors open at 6:30pm with the concert starting at 7:00pm. As always, DVAC members receive their price Online at checkout. Don't forget your coupon code.


Steven Ragsdale is a saxophonist who actively performs in various jazz, rock, pop, and classical environments. Steven has had the opportunity to study with great musicians such as Jeff Ellwood, Charles Richard, Bill Cunliffe, Francisco Torres, Kye Palmer, George Cables, James Rӧtter, and Christopher Bartz, to name a few. He is currently a member of several ensembles performing around California, including The Bill Cunliffe BACHanalia Big Band, Eleventy, Slang, Zzaj, The MErcy Stone, The Noir Saxophone Quartet, and The Hyperion Saxophone Quartet, as well as many other side projects and studio sessions with pop artists, composers, big bands, and orchestras.
HOLDING A B.A. IN MUSIC EDUCATION FROM CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY FULLERTON, HE IS NOW WORKING ON A M.M. IN JAZZ PERFORMANCE. As a teacher, he works with young students, both privately and as a clinician for various local schools including Diamond Bar High School, South Pointe Middle School, Colony High School, and Eleanor Roosevelt High School.
