FiberShowFIBER ARTS SHOW | DVAC Gallery

ExhibitThe Diamond Valley Arts Council (DVAC) is pleased to continue the tradition of bringing outstanding fiber art works by local and regional artists of our community through the third juried Fiber Arts Exhibition.
The exhibition is open to all artists who wish to submit their original work (no commercial patterns, or teacher-assisted work) in fiber and fabrics. This includes surface design, printing on fabric, mixed media techniques including fabric, thread or yarns, quilting art, thread painting and felting. Three dimensional works will also be accepted. Only work never before shown at a DVAC exhibition is eligible. Work may be sold. All sales will be handled through The DVAC. There will be a 25% commission assessed for any work sold during the show.
First, Second, Third, Honorable Mention and Best of Show ribbons will be awarded. An Opening Reception will be held TBA

The Diamond Valley Arts Council is pleased to present the 12th Annual Festival of the Arts the weekend of October 20 & 21, 2017. The theme “Arts & Culture: A Celebration” was selected for this year’s festival as a way to acknowledge the talent and creativity of so many in our community.
Every year the festival has a judged art exhibition which showcases the works of local artists in 3 categories of art, each with 3 different expressions. They are: 2D, 3D and Digital (Visual Arts Category), Music, Dance and Film (Performance Arts) and Poetry, Short Stories and One-Act Plays (Literary Arts). First, second and third place entries in the various expressions will be recognized. Art submission requirements are available at www.thedvac.org, at the Arts Center located at 123 N. In addition to the art, the festival will kick off with a performance by the Hemet High School Jazz Band at 7:00 pm on Friday evening. Saturday will run from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and include Face Painting, Art Demonstrations and presentations of the Literary and Performance Arts Categories. The festival concludes with our regular 3rd Saturday Wine, Art and Jazz Concert featuring the Peter Curtis Trio. Tickets for this concert are $25 for General Admission or $20 for DVAC Members. They are available online or at the Arts Center.

Purpose: The objective of the 2nd Annual Art for Youth Competition is to encourage high school and college age youth throughout the region of the San Jacinto Valley to pursue their artistic talents and to provide an event which will showcase their art and allow them to share their works with the community through public display at local businesses.

This year we are introducing assistance through the distribution of a limited number pre-purchased frames and matting. Refer to the Framing and Matting Assistance Section below for details.
